The Vialone Nano rice is a “semifino rice” variety suitable for the preparation of vegetable soups, soups and “risotto”. The Vialone Nano grains are rounded and have a medium-small measure: only 5-6 millimeters.

In the the fertile lands of the Verona province, the rice roots are pushed deep into the limpid karst spring waters.

This rice cooks in 15-18 minutes and it gives creamy risotto because of its ability to release large quantities of starch during cooking.

Rice is mainly a source of carbohydrates and in the Mediterranean diet it is always a good alternative to pasta and other cereals. In addition it is naturally gluten-free and therefore suitable for the diet of those suffering from celiac disease.
