Our Ale Gambini tells us her amazing experience at Taste Awerd 2014.

“This amazing journey started on November 2013 when my web series A World Of Sweets, traditional sweet recipes from each and every county of the world, has been nominated on three categories at the prestigious Taste Awards. After two months I’m here to tell what happened on that spectacular night.

First of all THE LOCATION. Red Carpet and Awards Ceremony has been held at the Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood. This Theatre is one of the world’s most famous movie theatre, venue for the first-ever Hollywood premiere (Robin Hood, starring Douglas Fairbanks on 1922). It also has been home of three Academy Awards ceremonies (Oscar).
As soon as I got there I felt like I was walking on a piece of history. The Red Carpet started at 6pm sharp. All the celebrities, winners and nominees (such as me) walked the Red Carpet for photos and interviews. As a former professional musician, I’m used to be under the light of the cameras or on video, but here everything was magic.

The ceremony started at 7pm. The winner of each categories has been awarded with the famous Taste Award Medallion and has made the acceptance speech. Only a few categories had the winner announced the same night (I was nominated in two of them). When the host opened the white envelope to announce the winner, my heart pounded like never before. I didn’t win but I feel like this is just the beginning of a long and beautiful culinary journey.

Kuddo to “La Cuoca Girovaga” by Chef Rosanna Marziale, an Italian animation, who won the Outstanding Kids Award along with Masterchef Junior and Cool Kids Cook.
After the ceremony we all attended the elegant after party with wine, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and artisan chocolate served on the stylish open-air, palm tree lined courtyard of the Theatre.
Definitely a perfect night, with a sky full of stars above my head and my heart filled with joy.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!
