30 eccellenze della nostra tavola (30 excellences on our table)

The richness of Italian eno-gastronomic heritage is renowned and appreciated all over the world. In our country, recipes and typical products can vary from region to region, from province to province, even from a family to another! What better time than the year of EXPO to celebrate the excellences of Reggio Emilia?

A tight schedule of events to spread the knowledge the culinary tradition of Reggio Emilia, a small jewel amid the territory of Emilia region, the heart of Italian Food Valley.

Thanks to the cooperation between Musei Civici, the City Council and I Love Italian Food, from July 7th 2014 till March 2016, the project 30 eccellenze della nostra tavola (30 excellences on our table) will accompany the NOI exhibition – hosted in Musei Civici di Reggio Emilia – with a tight schedule of events, a list of appointments thought for everybody, children and adults, citizens and tourists from all over the world.

30 excellences from Reggio Emilia – the symbol of our territory, derived from a know-how passed down through generations – will be the guest stars of a path running from past to present, linking the US/NOI of tradition to the contemporary one.

During 30 weeks, the 30 excellences will be experienced, told and sampled through 30 appointments: Ateliers, Experiences and Workshops, that will also be followed by a Web Video format, divided in 30 episodes, of course!

Here’s the list of the 30 excellences: Tortelli Verdi, Salame di Canossa, Spergola, Parmigiano Reggiano, Erbazzone, Gnocco Fritto and Chizze, Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale of Reggio Emilia DOP, Torta di Riso, Tortelli di Zucca, Sugo d’Uva, Siguleda and Cipolla Borettana, Lambrusco, Fiocco, Fritloc and Castagnaccio, Bomba di Riso, Cazzagai, Coniglio alla reggiana, Lesso and Salsine reggiane, Cappelletti, Savuret, Biscione reggiano, Spongata, Zuccotto di Bismantova, Ciccioli, Zuppa Inglese, Verzot, Intrigoni, Tortellini Fritti, Pasta Rasa and Pan de Re.
