Classic bruschetta

INGREDIENTS PER 4 PEOPLE

Italian bread, 4 slices of 2,8-3,5 oz each
chopped tomatoes
garlic
oregano
extra-virgin olive oil

PROCEDURE

For a good Bruschetta you should use the day-old stale bread instead of the fresh one. Griddle or bake thick slices of bread until they start to turn golden. Dress the bruschetta by rubbing a garlic clove gently over the bread for just a subtle hint of flavour. Drizzle with good extra-virgin olive oil. Serve the classic way with chopped fresh tomato & basil.
