Big croutons with caramelized tomatoes

INGREDIENTS PER 4 PEOPLE

wholemeal bread, 4 slices
cherry or datterini tomatoes, 8 (other little sweet tomatoes)
ricotta cheese, 3,5 oz
sugar, 1 tbsp
a pinch of sea salt
marjoram
oregano
thyme
mint
extra-virgin olive oil

PROCEDURE

Put in a pan oil, a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of sea salt. Cut the tomatoes in half and place them upside down in the pan. Brush them the mixture of aromas and let caramelize well. When the cherry tomatoes will have a golden base, turn them over for a few minutes.
Cut the bread into slices, spread with ricotta and decorated with cherry tomatoes. Buon appetito!
